u know what, i guess sometimes being too helpful and kind pretty much sucks
when people ask me for help, i'll try real hard to help
even if it is at the expense of myself

now i'm taking up 3 jobs
1 fulltime job and 2 parttime jobs
and it is already taking its toll on me
i'm so so so tired

For my birthday, these girls brought me to Hard Rock Penang
Well Sally sponsored my stay there as my present :)

So here we are in the airplane camwhoring as usual

It was Syidah's first on an airplane

So finally i've got round to blogging about my Bangkok trip

it was an All-girls affair

and truly it is an experience that i will never forget!

It is my 1st time going on a holiday with Mas and Sya

not my 1st with Fat though :)

This post is all about our Day 1

and i guess i'll narrate a little along the way

here goes~

So here we are early....

waiting for our plane to land and for us to be able to board

you can see our tired faces for having to wake up @ 7am

yet we are totally psyched for the 'Adventure' ahead of us

hees....

the one on the most left is Sya :)

when finally we got to board the train,

we girls then did what we do best to kill boredom

and trust me there are more from where it came from

and the one on the right is Mas :)

it was raining pretty heavily

it feels as though Singapore is sad to let us go

hees...

and what do we do with this wonderful weather?

we sleep!

I only managed to catch a few winks while this girl here couldn't sleep

so we decided to camwhore like again just to humor ourselves for that err....3 hrs flight?

and like they always say,

"When in Thailand, always bring a MAP"

and it's true!

well, you can say that we make pretty good navigators

we found our train station

and off we go in search of our hotel at Ratchaprapop

here is their sort-of ezlink card which looks like a coin

quite surprising considering that we are at the Airport train station

me & fat decided to go on a little grocery shopping, as usual~

got this banana pancake for us and Mas & Sya as well

Thereafter was the hunt for The Ladyboy show tix

we walked....

after getting our tix, we decided to just walk around to familiarise with the place

Fat saw her Shia and she just couldn't help herself

& yes there is always time for a little shopping :)

we spent alot at this shop thought coz their wallets are just soo pwetty...

And this i gotta say, Thailand people are damn considerate people la

just look at them queueing to get in the train!

Do you honestly get to see this in Singapore?

i wasn't in the best of moods after Tuesday

and you can say it was a pretty gloomy start for me

what with me not being able to sleep most of the night

as i spent my time trying to scratch myself til i bleed..

ok i'm embellishing.... but i was truly kept awake coz my whole body felt so.itchy.

i went to the extent of de-bacterialising my whole body

but to it made no difference to my itchy condition

managed to only catch 2 hours of sleep

and the consequence?

i went to work looking like a zombie.literally.

after 'googling' then i realise that im suffering from an allergic reaction

to what? i dont know

and the amazing thing is the runny nose medicine

u know the small, round, yellow colour tablet, also works as an anti-itch drug?!

who knew right...

again, i was kinda 'dead' to the world and yet 2 angels came bye to say Hello!

how sweet are they.

kenduri arwah

Just that Saturday on the 9th my family decided to hold a kenduri arwah

for both Mum's and Dad's side

so we had lots of our relatives coming down

it was truly nice to see everyone coming together

other than the usual-meet-during-Hari Raya

here's me and my cousin camwhoring while waiting for the prayers to start

her name is Shahirah :)

we had Nasi Ambeng for dinner

you know communal eating

and it really whets your appetite when eating together

my cousins and I 'tambah' like 3 times

coz it's soooo delicious :)

after prayers and dinner, we celebrated my abang's birthday

his birthday was on the 6th

HAPPY 24th ABANG!!!

You're my one and only big brother

and i love you just so

you were never strict with me

you firmly believe in letting me learn my own lessons

and when i fall you will always be there to pick me up

So on that Sunday us 3 decided to get wet and wild

primarily because i got these 4 free passes

asked Arep and my adik along

and it was saddening coz i couldn't swim :(

but its ok..

i got to act as a surrogate mum for them

what with me bringing food and drinks

me while lazing around waiting for them :)

all in all i was happy to see my brother having fun

thanks Arep for layaning him

he could be annoying at times

but nevertheless he is still my angelic brother

WAH! didn't know that there is thing called the "corporate plan" available
i've been working here for 2 years odd, and now then i got to know
slow or whaaatt?!

sighs~
am sooo gonna get the plan once my contract is over
and my Liona said that she will get it for me right?

it's true that i'm sick and tired of sitting down
calculating and acting as a credit officer
and despite its demands for me to be more rigid and stingy
i simply couldn't

work aside, their benefits are pretty good i should say
so many discounts here and there
and it's those BIG/make-a-difference discounts mind you
everything is taken care off
medical care? CHECK!
dental care? CHECK!
family medical care? CHECK!
annual leave ( i mean ours is kinda alot compared to others) ? CHECK!
leisure facilities? CHECK!
what more do i want??

maybe some excitement would be nice for starters
and not those from mistakes but pure enjoyment for doing what i do to earn a living
so.... i want to change jobs!!!
but it's like difficult to find one that i like without having to compromise
either my salary/time/benefits...

winnie was the manager on duty
and all hell broke loose
the food were late
damn late
the people just kept on coming and coming
food items going 86

seriously it was a test of our patience and perseverance
and i guess we failed for the former
i seriously contemplated going home halfway through
but i didn't
couldn't bring myself to anyways

and i didn't know the big, big boss was in the kitchen as the coordinator
and i find him such a nuisance and a BIG bully!
how could he lay a hand on my friend Randy!!
and then he even used a pan and hit Randy's head!
i call this employee abuse
to hell that you are the CEO or whatever big shot position of the company
it's still against the law to lay a hand on your employee

and i find the manager is such an incompetent twit
yes the sales was 5.6k
but this is no excuse
it could have been relax
had she knew when and how to pull the stops

no matter how snotty and 'atas' Terence is
and how much of a hypocrite he is when he was all against me on the 1st day
and then on the 3rd day he did a complete turn-around
at the very least he does help me in my follow up
meaning there aren't any late food items

but.... Syidah decided to pass watching with us and watch on Monday instead

not much of family time much less friends time

Saturday worked as usual at Fish N Co with Sally and Awal
but... our roster was from 4 til 9 only
Why?
Coz we wanted to go to Timbre!

I've been meaning to go to Timbre again
to listen to 'live' musicians
it was busy at work but we couldn't care less
we just went off at 9.20pm
well we did stayed a little bit longer then we should huh?

after much deliberation and googling,
we decided to go to Timbre @ Old School

so here's us while waiting for a cab to go to Old School
and we kinda got abit lost
so much so that we ended up using the GPS at Sally's iphone
:P

Finally we found the place which is like on top of this hill

and the musician is not a band but 2 people
a lady and a guy
well not that bad
but i still prefer the one at Armenian St
oh wells!

and as usual we camwhored a little!

it has been awhile since i last blogged
and well my posts lately has been nothing like a post
so here goes...

these past few days have been filled with

random meetups
impromptu decisions
making new friends
losing old friends be it deliberately or otherwise
meeting the most unexpected people; at the most unlikely places

n what i'm feeling right not seriously downplays the series of events
oh wells...

so as of last Friday, me and Sally started working at Fish & Co Ion Orchard
well primary reason was because Awal is working and he needs help
and so far other than those ugly characters, i find working there pretty pleasant

and my take on the store?
they seriously need an overhaul
not appearance wise but with regards to their working attitude
unlike Pizzahut, the FnC staffs only mind their own business
they have no regard for the other staffs
Ok la except Randy :)
he is one good working partner
always offering to send the orders for me
and in return we go for 'fresh air' together!

i just worked for 3 consecutive days and it has left me completely shagged
maybe it's because i came home very late on friday
what with supper with the peeps
and ECP thereafter
it was enjoyable until i was hit by nausea later in the morning
Thank you Mr Arep for layaning my want-to-vomit moments
Hahahaha....

Saturday was voting day and i voted for.................
PAP!!
to hell with secrecy
well i was pretty happy with Tampines PAP's performance
so yeah why not right?
even though i would love to vote for the opposition had my opposition been better
nevermind it was my 1st time voting
and it has been pretty exciting politically so far
but after this, i doubt political matters really matter to me

worked at FnC thereafter
and we went for supper at Saffron after work
and sighs~
surprise. surprise.

Sunday was Mother's day n i worked!
and my mum got upset as we didnt celebrate Mother's day
so me n sis decided to buy a cake for her today
and we got a kiss from Mum
well there's no woman better than my Mum after all
and we love her just so
even though she tend to nag alot
but then again who's mum doesn't nag you tell me??

well did i mention that on Sunday was my 1st time attending Islamic classes?
it's at Darul Arqam
went there with Sally, Syidah and Zakiah
and yes i intend to learn more about my own religion
i just hope that this 'semangat' will last long
what with me going for religious classes with Fat love every Mondays and Wednesdays
and Islamic classes on Sundays

and i think that's all for now...

i have no inkling why i am feeling this way
the reasons somehow eludes me

yet i somehow enjoy feeling numb

our manager
well he isn't anymore but we still think of him as our manager
he has turned 31!

went to Universal Studios Singapore
our first time there
and it was Fun!
exhausting but Fun!

on friday my plan was to head home and get some sleep
been having sleepless nights
and sleep is all i desire
i need sleep.

but this awal had to persuade me to go out
him and his "this is the only day i'm available to meet you guys"
"when i ask you out, don't want..."
alongside Sally and Arep
so us 4some minus Syidah head to Bugis to catch a movie!

i was the earliest even though i actually took a train from
Raffles Place to Simei to Bugis
really wasted my time
but ok la there is good in that wasted 20 mins
i got to take a power nap

went to Iluma and bought our tix
and while waiting for our show to start we went for a late dinner
at this monkey-ish place
the name escapes me right this moment

we had these~

squid ink pasta

teriyaki burger

seafood marinara

and yes i ate that squid ink pasta
they dared me to
hahaha...
well no one dared to try it
coz 1st thing it's appearance is galling
and 2ndly it looks like many worms crawling
Eeeeww...
but surprise.surprise
it actually tasted pretty A-Ok for a black-worm-like pasta

ljust one word of caution though
if you plan to eat the squid ink pasta,
be prepared for this......

watched the movie Faster starring 'The Rock'
and it's pretty mediocre
not much there other than the star itself

thereafter i thought i could finally head home for my bed
but i forgot that they are night owls
and we went to saffron for supper~

i may be tired emotionally and physically but indeed they are my food for the soul~

thursday was horror night with Fat love~
she got free tix from somewhere which i totally forgot
and she invited me!

so sweet of her

so the movie was screened at Marina Square
and it is the 1st time ever i actually screamed some but laughed all the more
while watching a horror flick!

funny how these horror movies are actually pretty predictable
you know with the suspense and then silence and then BOOM! the ghost appears
but time and time again we still fall for it and get freaked out
it's the same for Scream 4
but with Fat, we screamed and soon after started laughing at our own reactions

even though the movie wasn't scary at all
it was gruesome i give it that
seriously~

went to eat at KFC thereafter
and homed

Ladies night

Last Wednesday was spent with these ladies here
been trying to find an appropriate time to meet
and finally we met!
well, zakiah also wanted to tag along but she had to work so next time ok..
we'll meet up soon enough :)

after much deliberation by me, Syidah and Sally
through email
seems like email is now the 'in' mode of communication
we decided to meet at Dhoby Ghaut since nani also needed to collect her hp

it has been awhile since we last saw nani
and it was truly time well spent
we decided to eat at Pizzahut

but it was full house and nani is too hungry to wait
so we went to this Jap-py restaurant

ok the name doesn't sound all that Jap-py
you will understand why soon enough~

we had some omelette rice and beef thingy
which is pretty ok
nothing fancy

what we were most anxious to have were our desserts
trust me
their dessert are worth drooling over
from their pictures already you can start salivating
hahaha...
abit exaggerated but indeed they are nice
we had tarts!

thereafter I decided that we should take neoprints!
it was one of our favourite pastimes in Sec school
other than sports
and there's no harm reliving the past right~

so Wednesday had an impromptu meetup with Syidah.
visited her dad @ CGH

and i tell you it's Awesome!

sooooo Steig Larsson-ish.

made an impromptu decision with Varsha on Thursday to go shopping
and yes we shopped for shoes!
Wah! almost went crazy la.. Sheesh...

ate @ Pizzahut after and we talked
we started talking about connections with people
and that for certain people we can have such a great connection to that person
so much so that we can sense 'them' in a way some people never get to feel this way.
but Varsha does with a particular person.

funny how it is with the most hated guy who actually ruined her life and her family's
yet she has this strong connection with him.

for example she can feel when he is in Singapore
or when he is in trouble
or when he is stressed she will know~
scary shit right!

and she told me that i do feel something for a particular person note that she told me this.
i thought it meant nothing but she told me those are signs that means something.
maybe that person misses you.
or that person is in trouble i don't know...
oh wells~

spent the night through and it was my 1st time having dinner with her after work real nice...

So on last Sunday met up with my love

watched the movie 'Patiala House'
featuring Akshay Kumar and... some others that i know nuts of
and just like any other Hindustan movies that i've watched
we Cried!
hehe...
i thought i was the only one 'feeling'2 until i looked to my right
and i saw little droplets of water on Sally's nose
Hahaha....
it doesn't matter if i used 2 tissues and you 1
fact of the matter is we cried

thereafter we wanted to have dinner together
and we called Awal to join us
so while waiting for Prince Awal to come
we ate at this place called 'Honeymoon Desserts'
they sell desserts~
quite yummy la but also pretty mediocre

Sally introduced me to this app called 'Lomo Lomo'
and yeah that explains why there are soo many photos in this post
hah!

so what do you think of Lomo Lomo so far?
pretty nice right..

Finally when Awal arrived we decided to eat at Swensen's
and i was the lamp post

Saturday was Health Week!
hehs.
welll i promised this friend of mine some time ago that i will go hiking with her
and i almost did but it didn't turn out as planned then
but now finally i get to fulfil this promise of mine
we went to MacRitchie Reservoir

sleptover her house on Friday night
and we slept like a baby~

woke up at 4.30am and we had breakfast at MacD before we head to MacRichie

US before our hike
she asked me to take artistic pictures of her
yet she is there scratching her leg
coz she got multiple mosquito bited

thank God we brought shades
coz it really saved our 'face'

we were really 'dead' in the bus
too exhausted to do anything but sleep
we planned to have prata thereafter
but we didn't coz the shopS apparently doesn't start selling prata yet

before that we had our dinner at Beach Rd
followed by Masjid Sultan
and off she go to Genting with Sunita

and yeah don't know why but i just felt like dressing up like a boy on saturday
Fat asked me to wear boots but my boots are not boy-appropriate attire
so i passed~
and i think i really look boyish!
other than the eyeliner and mascara and stockings
i think i look ok...

thereafter met up with Awal for supper @ MacD
told him not to be surprised when he sees a guy later
and he seriously thought i brought along a guy when i was referring to myself?!

P.s he's jealous coz i'm a prettier boy than him... :D

Sunday had the monthly maintenance testing like again~
but this time it's from 10am-11am unlike the usual 9am
it's still too early from me...
but at least there is a range!
was late as usual
i spent like 15 mins for the testing and almost 2 hours researching and updating my accounts

went back home thereafter and was about to sleep when Syidah called me
apparently they are sending her dad to the A&E as her dad complains of having chest pains
her dad got warded

and doctors nowadays are getting more comical and younger as years passes by uh..
seriously that heart doctor is sooo funny la
stayed til almost 9pm and we went home....

and yet again i did what i simply do best

i'm truly sorry but i really can't

met him at Syidah's insistence
and it was pleasant indeed
but it just didn't work out for me

anyways me and aida have decided to give UOL a pass
coz the both of us dont feel at all confident to graduate with 1st class honours
it was funny really coz we both felt the same way
such is the affinity i have with this girl :)
d modules are meant to massacre the students seriously
and judging from both our study styles which is to only study at the eleventh hour
we doubt we can make it
cannot always rely on our luck you know~

we are still taking our degree but at UniSIM
it will be for 3 years though unless if we can get some exemptions
at least it's way cheaper
but it's at Clementi
so far uh~
the thought of travelling there makes me cringe
oh wells...

yesterday was DBSV's annual Recognition Dinner
or better yet DnD la..
and it's at..... Ritz Carlton!

Woohoo!
1st time to a grand hotel
and grand it is maybe more...

the theme was Glamourous
and a lot of people are getting into it
there were ladies in bling-bling dresses
showing off a little skin here and there
guys in tuxedoes
so smart and handsome la

went to Lata's house to get ready
coz this Von Yea is wearing a saree and she know nuts about how to wear it
and seeing how Lata tied for her it's no wonder really
so difficult
fold here, tuck there, pin here, cover there
we were puzzled why Lata chooses to bathe after helping Von Yea tie her saree
but when we saw how much she bent and squat we know~

well things didn't go as planned which is to reach there by 6.30
so that we can go for the palmistry thingy and to be 'bedazzled'
instead we reached there close to 7.30
somehow we got a little lost
tsk tsk~

Edmund Lee, our CEO was already giving his opening speech when we reached
and he HAD to mention about Monday

lucky he just mentioned the departments
so now just 2 years in the company and Edmund knows me already

as usual there were the lucky draws, best dressed table and individuals

February has been good so far

Sis just got engaged on the 13th
and one year from now she's getting married

it was my 1st seeing the 'minang' process 'live'
so it was kinda cool
but felt kinda weird la
all thanks to those 2 guys from the guy's side
and check2 they are Didi's - Sis's fiance, friends

Syid and me took urgent leave together
and she sleptover at my house

played cards, FB until we were too tired to go on
woke up a little after 11am to see my parents dead to the world too

its ironic to see the one who got engaged working and those not, took leave

i felt like going to Sg Botanic Garden
and Syid was sweet enough to grant me my wish
it was my 1st time
and we were really amazed..
there were swans, ducks and pretty statues...
so pretty~
i love her to bits la

thereafter met up with Sally and Arep at Simei for dinner
Sally bought for us cakes coz it's V day :)
ate at Eighteen Chefs
and homed

came back to work the next daya
and the 1st thing that i do is to sign up for thy company's singing competition

now i'm having 2nd thoughts
and everyone and anyone knows by now~

and ooh did i mentioned that i had my review last Friday?
well i did and it was pretty ok
i got all flustered for naught la
ok she said it's P & C so shall not elaborate

on a CNY weekend me and Aida love decided to spend time together
you can say maybe it's to make up for time lost
even though we talk to each other frequently at work
well nothing beats meeting each other

after much deliberation we decided to go ICE SKATING!
hehe...
it's my 1st time and her like... 3rd time??
so ok la go with her
at the very least i will make a fool of myself infront of someone i know?
hees...

so off we went to Kallang Leisure Park
i remember someone asked me to go ice skating with him
but no we didn't go
:P

took the circle line to 'Stadium' and as usual i was initially lost as to how to go there
but somehow i knew how to
Good Job!

had to wait for Aida
as usual~
if she's not late then she is weird

the gloves that will protect our hands from the ice
and man the place is cold

so this is US before the 'workout'

my take on ice skating?
it takes skills alright
it wasn't that hard to stand up
but the moving part is damn tricky la
feels like you might just fall down anytime

my 1st time again
and her like 3rd time also i think?
well i guess there are many things i did with that was a 1st for me
you can say she is the intoducer of sorts for me
and that's why it's never boring

and they are damn good la

we watched dvds
and i cooked for her!

ate and drink and played Monopoly Deal well pass midnight~

met up with Sally love on Monday
well plan was to pass her the kuih my mum made for her
but mum wanted to pass her kuih to dad's friend first
so didn't

met her at Bugis and we shopped!
didn't plan to buy anything
maybe just my Dinner costume
but i ended up buying other stuffs
on a brighter note i did find that fluffy skirt that i wanted

Arep joined us thereafter
met up with Nani near Amore, her workplace
and i decided to wait for her to end work at 10 so we could go home together
:)

i really missed talking to Nani
she and her antics
we used to dislike each other alot in Secondary 1
but somehow we got round things and became good friends
she said "us girls i mean our group of friends; you, me, Sally, Syidah all are different.. as in we are not like those typical girls"

us, Family, celebrated this boy's birthday

time really flies
i still remember carrying him when he was just a baby
my 1st time carrying something so tiny and fragile
and now he has grown to be a big boy

Wah!

seems like the story of the 'toilet phantom'
has spread pretty fast uh

you see some time ago
when i was on attachment here with Nurul, Naif and Hilda
(ya my poly attachment is at DBSV Credit also)
i was attached to Credit
Nurul and Naif to Operations
Hilda to Retail Business
but nevertheless i will always meet them somehow

i remember when i used to go for mail duty
Nurul will accompany me down and we will climb the stairs back up
2nd to 25th floor
that's in our bid to keep fit la
we will just "picit" each other and meet somewhere
and usually it's at the toilet

well one day me being a girl who kinda likes to take pictures
decided to take one in the toilet
while waiting for Nurul
and that i did
but the picture that came out was weird

i mean i wasn't smiling when i always do
and i look damn white la
i know i'm fair but this is seriously white, white
and my eyebrows were missing
the eyes were sharp looking
and at first glance i thought it was me
coz i thought maybe my camera abit 'sort'

but i just asked Nurul randomly
i showed her and asked,"Nurul, ni macam aku ke?"
and she literally ran out
of course i chased after her
and i asked her Why?
and she was like,"Tu bukan kau la"
and it freaked me out totally

in my freaked out state
i just deleted the photo
coz... i don't know why

what can you do in 10 seconds really
almost nothing right
and yet that lift ride up which took about 10 seconds felt like 5 minutes to me

i doubt i ever felt this awkward
or maybe i did but this overrode it i guess

it's funny how by a twist of fate
that boy who used to like me in Primary school
and tried various methods to woo me
but was eventually rejected by me
is now one of my brother's closest friends

how about the other boy who was my sister's friend's brother
and yes he also did try to woo me
and he is also one of my brother's close friends today

so what happens when i'm inside the same lift as these 2
and the only person between me and them is my brother
damn awkward la

Lesson learnt: Never take the same lift as your beaus

i think i'm going to cut my hair
and re-dye it
don't know if i still want to rebond my hair
but only after the Recognition Dinner
planning to snip a whole chunk of my hair

coz my hair is pretty long now

seriously this "being late" is like a habit that for me, is soooo difficult to break
eventhough my lateness is not as bad as Aida's
i'm still considered late amongst others like Fat and Sally

Aida, remember when we used to go for classes in Poly
and i will always reach like 10-20 mins after class STARTS
and you, my girl, will always reach 10-20 mins before class ENDS
you are definitely way worse than me
but now you are going to work punctually!!
